Born in Paris, Kat is a painter who moved in Montreal in 2011 in order to set up her art career. Her art has been displayed in various art galleries such as in Paris, Berlin, Montreal and New-York. She has also participated to a few street-art festivals. Her art is largely dedicatd to the engaged art: environmental problems, the power and influence of lobbies inour society, the economic influence of leading brands as well as animal rights ...
Kat expresses her creativity through various artistic styles such as urban art, brandalism and even surrealism. Giving free rein to her imagination, she reflects on our society, without limiting herself to one particular style. For her, art is the very essence of free expression, without any constraints or established rules. Much like the complexity of human nature, Kat express herself in a muti-faceted way.
In 2019, after facing some respiratory issues due to the painting products she used, she began drawing masks on Carebear faces, which to her represents the symbol of innocence, vulnerability and naivety.
When in 2020, masks were commonly associated with the Corona virus, she had already known masks in the context of her personal health struggle and ongoing fight against pollution and environmental concerns.
Her creation « 2050, the remaining walls » is a mix between brandalism and street art. She represents an apocalyptic world in 2050, where only advertising posters of those huge lobbies and leading brands will resist and still stand up on those walls. This symbol of the almighty power is what she wants to denounce.
Those paintings are really textured giving the illusion of, having at home, a part of a street wall, while Street art is Kat's way to send a message through her paintings to the public.
